About Our Founder

Eugene is a seasoned business leader and management consultant with over 25 years of experience serving clients across the non-profit, public, and private sectors in Asia-Pacific. He is passionate about elevating leaders and businesses to bring about innovations and social change for a better future.

As CEO and Transition Strategist at Leadership Choices, he helps leaders and organizations navigate transitions to achieve new growth. He has led the design and delivery of complex consulting assignments ranging from high-potential leadership journeys to culture transformation and operating model design. Having worked with global Fortune 500 companies, family-owned entities and social enterprises, he is versatile in his ability to assist companies of all sizes across various industries transform.

Beyond enterprise-level engagements, Eugene has also led impactful national-level initiatives, including developing Singapore’s Human Capital Maturity Framework, which benefited over 2,500 organizations across 33 sectors and was later adapted in Saudi Arabia for 20 key ministries. The impact of these practical tools developed patiently over a decade with his clients is testament of his ability to use simple solutions in creative ways for long-term and outsized strategic outcomes.

Previously, he was Consulting Managing Director of Korn Ferry Singapore, founding Dean of KF Academy and Global Change Lead for AEPW. His expertise spans strategy, leadership, top team effectiveness, organizational development, change management, culture transformation, and executive coaching.

Eugene holds a BA in Computer Science from Boston University, USA and a Global EMBA from INSEAD, France. He received an Executive Diploma in Directorship from Singapore Institute of Directors. He is a certified IHRP-Senior Professional and Birkman Certified Professional.

Eugene currently serves on the Advisory Council of Real Impact Advisors (RIA), a philanthropy and impact advisory that creates catalytic transformations for a sustainable Asia.

Pursuing a strategy that includes modernizing processes incorporating extensive use of IT and developing their professional management team to support their growth ambitions.

The project began with a Top Team Strategy Decode session with my senior leadership team to articulate our strategy. We worked with Eugene to develop a corporate balanced scorecard, which was subsequently cascaded to all departments. This alignment involved a fair bit of engagement with Department Heads and other managers to arrive at a fair and transparent system that was well accepted.

The system made use of shared KPIs to encourage inter-departmental cooperation and also incorporated softer levelled behavioral competencies for us to reward and promote on values - something very important to us in building up our culture of teamwork. The performance system was then linked to a robust cash-based incentive framework that provided a direct link of performance to rewards in order to motivate and incentivize our best teams and individuals. We feel we have put in place a robust HR system (both in training and tools) that we can build on over the years.
