Delivering a module at the Hong Hong leg of the Learning Journey
Background
A leading financial services group in an industry undergoing rapid transformation and disruption from smaller, non-traditional FinTech competitors.
Challenge
To design and deliver a 9 month leadership journey for high potential leaders in Asia Pacific to inspire them for Digital Leadership and equip them to successfully navigate ambiguity and facilitate change for their teams.
Solution
Working closely with the Head of Global Leadership Development Programs and her Asia team, we designed three 5-day Modules in Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong to immerse leaders in a range of topics ranging from Strategy to Change Management to Design Thinking. We exposed the teams to intense in-session business simulations as well as inter-module Action Learning Projects that culminated in presentations to executive sponsors. A mix of internal and external experts were invited to deliver key topics including a site visit to speak to leaders from a different industry further along on their own digital transformation journey. We provided personalized assessment and coaching feedback and integrated experiential elements in-session to raise self awareness at every stage of their performance.
Results
The program was very well received and subsequent runs were commissioned. Most participants went on to take on larger roles within the organization. During COVID-19, we redesigned portions of the program to complete delivery of the milestone program virtually. Graduates hosted a 1.5 hour gratitude online session for each other and the facilitators for the impact the journey had on their personal and professional development.
